Matthew 7:13-14

Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. Because narrow is the gate and straight is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. ~ Matthew 7:13-14

HATE THAT LOVES

Jesus said for people to "love your enemies." He also said, "Do not cast your pearls before swine." Putting these thoughts together brings another thought. Love your enemy, but watch carefully who you make friends with.

In the attempt to love one’s enemy is the temptation to agree with your enemy. When one agrees with what one’s enemy does ... what does that do to his belief?

The Bible says, "Hate evil and love good." Is there a hate that fosters love? Yes there is.

I read recently of a woman that said she locks the doors to her house not because she hates her neighbors but because she loves those who dwell with her in her house.

Jesus also said, "All the nations on the earth will hate you because of Me." Jesus is hated!

What He says and does is hated according to the world’s philososphy and thought process. When you make friends with God’s enemies are you agreeing with philosophies that hate Him?

Would you buy drugs for an addict?

Why do you allow the world’s solutions to problems to enter your Christian worldview? Have you changed your worldview?

Jesus also said, "Because of the increase in lawlessness the love of most will grow cold."

In the above sentence is the greatest clue as to why Jesus is hated. The enemy of righteousness is lawlessness. Jesus is "the righteousness of God."

Lawlessness is the spirit of rebellion. This spirit is in the world. Anyone can catch its virus. The best we can do is say “no” and keep it from our eyes, our hearts, and our love ones. The most loving thing you can do is to love ... Love.

The other "L" word Jesus uses is not the word liberal. His "L" word is lawlessness. If you are in the "middle," whatever label you give yourself, it is lawlessness. Come out of the middle. Stop being "social." Being social with common "philosophies" is your attempt to hide your fear of being rejected by common philosophies.

Jesus is hated, and if your heart truly carries His Name, it is time to come out of hiding. When you are afraid remember His words, "Do not be afraid."

Come out and live in love. You can love your enemy and be free in Love. Lock the door to your heart so you can love the One who lives in your heart?
