Its been a very busy season since we last blogged. We moved to a new home in December, still in Albuquerque and we really love it as it is closer to our home church, Hoffmantown Baptist. Its been pretty bumpy but God is faithful and our many new friends here in Albuquerque have been a blessing of faithful friendship. Its so nice to come home from a trip and go into Sunday School and know that there are people there who care and have prayed for you while you were gone. We weren't at all sure the first year we were here if NM was the place where God wanted us but when we began attending Hoffmantown things looked a whole lot better. You may have heard of our pastor, Wayne Barber. He is a wonderful teacher and a really decent human being who is warm and kind always and we always look forward to hearing what he has to say. Our friends are a very nice group of sincere Christians who not only study God's Word but are careful to apply it by not only hearing but through acts of loving kindess according to the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit. This is all we try to teach in our ministry - don't just hear/speak the Word of God, do what it says. Our friends here have acted toward us newbies with love, kindness and acceptance and we are so grateful for that. They have truly become a family and that is all any of us really need.
Sad news is that Wendy lost her mother last year and now, just last week, Dennis lost his mother. And of course, Stephanie lost 2 grandmas. Its been a trying time but again God is faithful and we know we'll see our mothers again in Heaven. They were both very sick towards the end and so we wouldn't have held them here even if we could have. Our trip to Israel was a great blessing as we were able to do several on-site presentations. It was just such a blessing and honor to be able to speak forth God's Word on the very sites where the Lord walked and taught. The Lord willing, we will plan on another trip next year. Pictures are posted below if you want to click through them. Right now we are working on several projects and are keeping busy with the travel. Dennis has been home exactly 1 week in the last month and a half. We can't complain as we know this is the Lord's will and call on our lives. We live in His grip - knowing He will never let go of us no matter what. We pray God's most merciful blessings upon any who read this.
Dennis & Wendy
