Matthew 7:13-14

Enter in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. Because narrow is the gate and straight is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. ~ Matthew 7:13-14

Winter 2002

December & Holiday Events December started out with a major trip to the Southwestern U.S. where Dennis visited several churches in N.M and TX. He was gone for a full two weeks and we missed him here at home. But God sustained us and him and the trip was fruitful and wonderful. He was able to share the Sermon on the Mount at several churches. He can't stop talking about sharing SOM with Christian school students in Albequrque and Santa Fe. If you have the time you might want to download and read the comments from the students We scanned them and put them into a PDF file on the Comments page. These are all really precious and blessed us with real spiritual insight from these sincere Christian young people. God's people in the Southwest are friendly and shining examples of the love of Jesus. We had three other dates after the holidays locally, each one a total blessing for all of us. These 3 each presented the Last Supper Shalom with the full Drama Center cast. It was great for all of us to get together again for rehersal and sharing. We got to spend New Year's Eve together with Christian Embassy in Niles, MI. where we presented LSS prior to ringing in the new year. We want to extend a prayer and love to all of you for 2003. We know that God is with us and all of His bride. He is our comfort and strength in these troubling times. Dennis shared on New Year's Eve that we should realize that all problems are spiritual and therefore all solutions are spiritual and to be found in the person of our loving Savior, Comforter and Deliverer, Jesus Christ. We need not even try to apply any solution that is apart from Christ because apart from Christ, we can do nothing. God bless you all!

Iowa, Cleveland and Southwest
Dennis and Wendy Campbell traveled to Iowa where Wendy's son Robert and daughter in law Betty pastor in Red Oak. Robert helped DCM in arranging 3 other church meetings. They were also interviewed on the radio - KCSI-KOAK in Red Oak. This was a really good interview which we will try to get uploaded so you can listen to it. There were many many salvations with the Awanas and re-dedications. It was a blessing to Wendy and Stephanie when Dennis got back and to H when Wendy Campbell got back. Just in time for Thanksgiving. On the Saturday following thanksgiving, Dennis, Wendy, Stephanie and Wendy Campell all packed up again and headed out in a snowstorm for Cleveland. We met that night for more than 4 hours to reherse with the Scranton Rd. Baptist Church for the Last Supper Shalom. The local cast was fantastic and we were all blessed by our hostess, Susan who is also a gifted cook. We left about 4pm Sunday, just ahead of a major snowstorm in Cleveland and got home all safe and sound. Dennis headed out the following Tuesday for the Southwest. He missed his plane but the Lord was gracious and he got on another with no trouble. We will miss him, please pray over our schedule and especially for Dennis.

West Coast Trip

Oct. 26 through Nov. 10
We all got back Tuesday and didn't suffer too much jet lag because we got up so early Tuesday morning to fly back from Los Angeles. Dennis was away for a total of 3 weeks, Wendy and Stephie joined him the last week. Altogether, DCM completed 11 services. It would have been 12 but Banning Baptist combined their two morning services into one - which was great because it was really full. We had a great time inter-acting with all of the people on our trip. The Global Missions conference at APU went really well. Dennis got to do a presentation for a class and then teach afterward about the finer points of dramatic Bible demonstration. The students were very receptive to both the presentation and the teaching. Because of the feedback we've received we are pondering producing a college curriculum. Please pray about this. We were blessed to be able to visit with Dennis' mother and father in California. They are wonderfully supportive parents as well as Christians. Over all, the west coast trip was incredibly successful in terms of reaching people and seeing God work. We will continue to pursue an ardent and focused vision for DCM as long as God continues to lead as He has. Bless you all!"

Fall & Winter 2002 News

We are right in the middle of our busy fall/winter schedule. The entire troupe has been outfitted in wonderful new costumes provided by our wardrobe people Wendy Campbell and Joy Madison. We are really blessed to be wearing these beautiful garments. DCM has had great success in contacting churches for appointments and building Christian friendships. It is a huge and undeniable witness of the work of God that we find such warm fellowship among the brethren where ever we go. This is the proof of His relationship to each of us. We are honored to be talking to so many devoted pastors and leaders throughout the country. Next week Dennis will be traveling to Oregon and from there to California where Wendy and Stephanie will join him. He will do several churches in each place as well as a global missions conference at Azusa Pacific Univesity in Azusa, Ca. He's very excited about connecting with students and sharing the concept of Bible demonstration with them. We have another trip planned in November to see several Baptist churches in Iowa. In December Dennis will travel to the southwest for a couple of weeks. Please pray for DCM, for travel mercies and for the many separations of the family. We know that God is in control and we have many friends who love us and that is a great comfort and source of strength. Please pray for finances as well. DCM is asking the Lord to provide financial partners. Please consider making a pledge for a monthly, quarterly or yearly amount if you haven't already. It is through faith partners that a ministry like this will grow and reach many people. "

DCM Drama Center Open!

The Dramatic Christian Ministries Drama Center is open and ready for production work! We have installed a small 50 seat chapel for devotional Bible demonstration studies and for worship. The chapel will also be used to stage our productions that we do in churches. Most of our meetings and rehersals will take place on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Please check the Drama Center page for rehersal, meeting and presentation information. The Drama Center will also be used as a presentation space as it is quite large. The Drama Center is located at the corner of Monroe & Lafayette in downtown South Bend. There is plenty of parking available. Pictures have been posted. If you are interested in becoming a member of the DCM Drama Center troupe please let us know by filling out the form on the Faith Partners page or by writing or calling us. If you want to be on our mailing list or tell a friend about us please use the forms below.

Summer 2002 News

Summer 2002 News - Posted 9-26-02
As many of you know, Dennis, Wendy and Stephanie traveled to the east coast for the month of July - August. There we visited churches in Massachussetts, New York and Virginia - DC area. It was a wonderful journey. Altogether we were able to do 13 presentations with 11 churches. What was so special was getting to fellowship with many people and churches. We were warmly welcomed where ever we went. The pastors, leaders, their wives and families are all very special people. It is truly wonderful to see all that God is doing in His people and we were encouraged in our own upward call.
The presentations went well and we had a chance to receive a lot of feedback. DCM is reaching people. There were salvations and many people spoke of a renewed sense of purpose and place in God's kingdom. Many were encouraged to read the Bible more and just get into more intense personal fellowship with Jesus. This is so great to hear! It was our first of hopefully many ministry trips as a family though Dennis has travelled extensively alone. Stephanie did very well and grew a lot, so did Wendy!
The presentations themselves are building momentum. Highlights include, but certainly aren't limited to: An outdoor presentation of Sermon on the Mount in Woodstock, NY.- where we used to live (we had as actors the outstanding Shokan Wesleyan youth - they were awesome), and in Webster, Ma. - a two day event done each year by Webster A.G. called "Webstock" - we were one of many "acts" on the program. You should go and check it out if you plan on taking a summer trip to Mass. We had a great time working with all of the Bible demonstrators from each church for our presentations of "The Last Supper Shalom". These people were so sincere and dedicated and we all learned so much just by acting into the "script" (the Bible) together.
Also, we got to meet John Ashcroft, the US attorney general, at the Arlington A.G. - he just came by to go to the Sunday evening service we were ministering in. That was really a thrill and he is an exceptionally nice person. Dennis even had an opportunity to pray with and for him. We did Sermon on the Mount that night and our prayer is that somehow our nation will be blessed through Mr. Ashcroft's receiving of the Sermon of Jesus.
We're looking forward to doing more script work with people as we present God's drama from the Bible. You can view our Fall/Winter schedule on our website. If you have any leads and would like to recommend us to a church you know of please let us know. We welcome your input. Visit our Testimonies page to get some quotes and there are Woodstock photos as well you can access from the Troupe page. We will add more as we get the ones we took scanned for upload. Our fall/winter schedule is filling up fast so if you have a date in mind be sure to let us know - use the Booking page.

Changes & Relocation

There has been tremendous encouragement and we are convinced of God's blessing on DCM. God's direction for our call and all that He has put on our hearts to do with DCM has made it clear that we must give up pastoring. This is a painful reality that we must absorb and deal with by God's grace, more so because our beloved Living Scripture Church is closing. We have been blessed there for 6 years and for 14 years altogether in pastoral ministry. We have seen God move in mighty ways upon our people and this ministry. Please pray for us that this transition won't be too hard. This is both a sacrifice and a faith step for our family and for our church family but we know that God is faithful to meet all of our needs. He has shown us His love through the love, prayers and committment coming from His people.
As of October 1st, Dramatic Christian Ministries will relocate to the Hope Rescue Mission's downtown office location, what used to be the Ries Furniture store. This is not the residential building that houses Hope residents. They have generously offered this large space for DCM to hold rehersals, store equipment and have Bible demonstration studies as well as presentations. We will post a schedule on our website of these Bible demonstrator study and presentations times. Please pray for this new drama center. Our goal is continue raising up Bible demonstrators who use acting as a means of understanding and applying God's Word in life. Many of these will be used for presentation work. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the form on the Faith Partners page. We would be blessed if those of you who aren't faith partners would at this time consider becoming one. DCM will need this kind of support going forward. Thank you for considering sharing financially for this endeavor.
We love you. God bless you - Dennis and Wendy Cole
